NuTrad is a small record company that wants to put a spotlight on the traditional music of today. By allowing details such as breathing, bowing, fingering and footstamping to be heard through the recorded music, we want to create a sound atmosphere that puts the listener in the chair next to the musicians.
Based in Västmanland, Sweden, the first productions have been of local musicans playing the music of this area.

Out of the small comes the great. With five small notes Folke, Emma & Josefina make contact with the outside world whilst gazing out from the boundaries of Västmanland. The favoring of tunes from Västmalnand is inevitable and founded in the love the trio has for music that has been grown and tried in a familiar environment. Fearless in the creation of new material, which is woven into the already established, Folke, Emma and Josefina treat us today´s folk music of Västmanland.
